At QRiFile, we believe file sharing should be effortless, fast, and completely private. We designed our application so that we do not know who you are, what files you are sharing, or to whom you are sending them. This Privacy Policy outlines how our application operates and how we handle data.

2. Optical QR Stream Mode (100% Offline)

When utilizing Optical QR Stream for direct screen-to-camera file transfer:

• No data ever leaves your device over the Internet.
• File data is encoded into optical matrix patterns displayed on the sender's screen and read by the recipient's camera.
• No servers, intermediate caches, or external networks are involved in any way.

3. Encrypted Cloud Transfer Mode

When choosing to share files across distances via cloud transit:

• In-Transit Encryption: Files are encrypted during transmission between your device and intermediate transfer nodes using industry-standard TLS and encryption protocols.
• Password Protection: If you specify a password, files are protected such that only recipients possessing the key can unlock and download the payload.
• Ephemeral Storage & Auto-Purge: Uploaded files are stored temporarily on transfer servers solely for the duration specified by the sender (e.g., 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 24 hours). Once expired or downloaded (if single-use wipe is enabled), files are permanently destroyed.

4. Information We Do NOT Collect

To uphold our commitment to absolute privacy:

• We do not require user registration, email addresses, phone numbers, or account creation.
• We do not inspect, index, analyze, or monetize file contents or file metadata.
• We do not sell or share user data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not track your physical location.

5. Device Permissions

The QRiFile mobile application requests specific device permissions strictly to deliver core functionalities:

• Camera: Used exclusively to scan optical QR codes for file transfer and pairing. Video frames are processed in local memory and are never recorded or transmitted.
• Photo Library / Storage: Used only when you choose files to send or save received files to your device storage.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect enhancements or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated effective date.
